DEMOCRATIC MARXISM Public Lecture series 2016

The Sociology and International Relations departments are organising a series of theory seminars and public lectures during 2016, under the rubric of

Democratic Marxism. The intention is to critically engage with various aspects of the Marxist intellectual tradition, in relation to contemporary issues and debates that have emerged in South Africa, and globally. As the programme below indicates, leading Marxist thinkers from South Africa and around the world have been invited to speak, and facilitate discussions around their work.
