We are sad to announce to passing of Professor Tobias. He passed away this morning after a long illness. A renewed paleoanthropologist by Profession, he initiated the excavation and study of hominin fossils at the Cradle of Mankind, in Maropeng. He was Emeritus Professor at the School of Anatomical Sciences at the University of Witwatersrand.
